About the Greg “Chickenman” Riley Foundation

Our lives changed forever on May 12, 2004. Greg was taken from us in an instant, so tragically -- without explanation or warning. There is no other way to explain how losing Greg has affected our family and his friends. We are all still very broken.

Greg was many things to so many people. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, a godfather and a brother-in-law. And to everyone he came in contact with, he was a friend.

Many of us wanted to take our anger and grief and do something positive. The Greg "Chickenman" Riley Foundation was established by our family and a few of Greg’s best friends. We wanted to do something to respectfully honor Greg’s memory. He was healthy and vibrant -- taken down in the prime of his life. Where would we start?? We did what everyone does -- we organized a golf tournament!!

More than anything else -- Greg loved children. All kids, any kids – especially laughing kids, having fun. We strive to honor his memory by doing what he did best -- making children happy and helping those in need.

Our Foundation has been successful for two reasons: 1) the generosity of golfers, sponsors, volunteers and guests who participate in our golf tournaments who give, and continue to give, so generously; and 2) the hard work and dedication of our Board of Directors.

We love you Greg. We hope you are proud of what is being accomplished in your name. Your spirit is definitely alive!!
